Alastair, James and Emily are joined by an extra special guest, regular listener and correspondant Marcia Armbruster. Together they place a game of 'Anticipation', where nature meets magnets and the puns write themselves, whilst trying to avoid MPs' expenses and opening James' mail. Along the way there is a thought for the day, a special German word for the week, and an episode of The Urchers so robust that even Alastair Bennett will like it. Plus a distressing dip into the Larkives for some ill-advised seasonal podcasting.

But perhaps best of all, Chris Law makes a cameo appearance in this podcast - a substantial one, like when Charlton Heston turns up in 'Beneath the Planet of the Apes', and with similar rippling muscles and sweaty intensity.
